Bruce Dean received an MFA from Otis Art insti­tute in 1974. He has worked as an exhibit­ing abstract artist, edi­to­r­i­al, cor­po­rate and adver­tis­ing illus­tra­tor and inter­na­tion­al poster artist for over 40 years. He has taught advanced paint­ing at Mt St. Mary’s Col­lege, Game Art at Otis Col­lege of Art and Design, and Art Explo­ration at Cal­i­for­nia State Uni­ver­si­ty North­ridge. As an illus­tra­tor he received sil­ver medals from The Soci­ety of Illus­tra­tors and numer­ous awards of mer­it from nation­al and inter­na­tion­al publications.
Tyler Dean received his PhD in Eng­lish Lit­er­a­ture from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Cal­i­for­nia at Irvine in 2014. He is a col­lege pro­fes­sor, spe­cial­iz­ing in Vic­to­ri­an lit­er­a­ture and has taught at numer­ous South­ern Cal­i­for­nia col­leges includ­ing Whit­ti­er, Pasade­na City Col­lege, and UC Irvine. He has also worked as a free­lance writer, tutor, and as an off-Broad­way actor in the crit­i­cal­ly acclaimed “Fools in Love.” He runs the goth­ic news aggre­ga­tor, “Every­thing is Goth­ic,” and the etsy paper-craft shop, “Goth­ick Sen­ti­ments.”
